Your Rebuild Opinion? Next Move Coming?

think buffalo does Rasmussen and Berggren for jack quinn? Like Berggren and think there’s more there but his days here are numbered and no comment on Rasmussen lol 6’6 only in his mind

Got a feeling quinn will be gone his summer

Quinn is trash 😂

First have Larkin waive his NTC for someone from LA who’s no where near his caliber.

Now trade two better players for a dude named Jack Quinn.
These takes are starting to get quite absurd, my dudes. 🤦🏻‍♂️

That’s enough of HF today - back to my workout.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm.
Realistically with nygaard coming and kane on the right side the chances of jack quinn coming is slim to none. Just threw his name out there as everyone who leaves buffalo does better

Berggren I like but has 0 future here and i don’t think anyone will be shocked if he’s dealt this summer. I don’t think Rasmussen has a longterm future here as well but I don’t think it’ll be this off season he’s moved. Couldn’t care less if he is though

Lafraniere larkin raymond
Debrincat Kasper kane
Lombardi compher soderblom
Mazur Rasmussen jeannot
Motte

Orlov seider
Edvinsson pellikka
Chiarot johansson
Gustafson

Demko
Talbot

Find 3rd team double retention on tarasenko we take futures
Buyout holl

If demko says he’s not resigning and wants out, doesn’t have much trade value with the injuries we take a chance deal Mrazek, pick and a meh prospect

If rangers are suddenly hellbent on moving Lafraniere from the rumours around ... move the 2026 1st top 10 protected , copp at 4 million since he had success there and probably wouldn’t want compher, Berggren and One of prospects plante/wallinder etc.. no high end guys like nygaard, asp etc..

If, if, if, if .... simple case of wishin' and hopin'.

It always amazes in these threads that the other NHL GM's are stupid and the Wings will convince them to accept the Wings garbage for their good players.

For13 OA, absolutely, but we all know that isn't going to get it done. People need to start asking who exactly would want our 13OA pick? MN is too close to win now mode I suspect.

The reasons many want to see the pick traded are the same reasons its a poor time to be trading a top 15 pick. It's supposedly a weaker draft class and the majority of teams are more interested in adding help now instead of future assets.

In the dynamic market that is the NHL, it is a terrible time to be trying to aggressively add to a roster.

Do you think it would be enough to trade 13OA, Rasmussen, and Finnie, for example? That adds both a player and a prospect with more size. (I'm not necessarily landing on this as the exact trade I'd make. Just trying to establish an overall level of balance.)

Ras is a roster add, which is what I think they are really after.

If we are dealing 13oa, I think a guy we might want to target is Mavrik Bourque. He always comes up when people talk offer sheets, and if Dallas knows they might have an issue re-signing him then dealing him might be pretty appealing. A 1st would be better than the 2nd and 3rd they would likely get if he signs an offer sheet somewhere.

Who’s giving up a 13th pick for a 23 yr old with 25 pts ? I’d rather just offer 4+ mill and risk losing a 2nd if he’s even worth going after considering we’ll likely be adding lombardi

Rasmussen is the perfect trade chip. If we go down that route, he's exactly the guy that other teams talk themselves into as being way more valuable than he actually is. Putting together something around Rasmussen + Wallinder + 13OA could net a pretty nice player

Which would be stupid. He’s a good, productive player. I’d happily take him on Detroit for the 13th overall pick.

My concern with him isn't his size, it is how much were his stats inflated from Kaprizov. He seems to have slowed production wise, when Kaprizov got hurt. 60 pts is pretty good, don't get me wrong, but if it takes a Kaprizov to get him there, I don't think he will be worth his contract.

It doesn't matter. You just want to get to the playoffs to get to the playoffs.

I want to get to the playoffs when they have pieces ready to compete with a better team.
I want them to keep building a team that will compete for many years for a cup.

You want four games of playoff hockey and you are happy.
The Caps got more than 4 games this season, and they were in worse shape 2 years ago. Some seriously risky moves, but they managed to make it work.

The whole build by the draft is just an excuse to sign shit players for mid-term contracts and be a bubble team for years on end. Stevie's done well with his 1st round picks, but aside from that, he's been just about the worst GM in the league since he re-joined the Wings. Even if the current prospects all hit the high end of expectations, this isn't a Cup team by any means.
