You're correct that it isn't all that much to add in the grand scheme of things.

But with Yzerman's overall pace and his track record in free agency, some of us feel like it'll be ten years into the rebuild before those pieces are in place.

I have to admit this is the one that interests me the most. I know that won’t shock most of the board, but I think he could breakout here and LA probably wants to do something this offseason now.

I thought he graduated with an engineering degree from Michigan Tech. Scott has been very critical of Yzerman the last couple years for not being more aggressive. So not really surprised to see him pile on. I don’t regularly listen to him, but I have seen him a few times in my YouTube feed and remember a decent interview with Mo.

He doesn’t strike me as a dumb guy at all to be honest. Surprisingly a lot of the NHL enforcer types have been some of the more intelligent NHL players over the years. Grim Reaper had a law practice for a while.

probably doesn't help the stereotypes how much literal brain damage a lot of these guys have from CTEs by the time their careers are over

yeah that sounds right re: the degree. Mainly I just don't give a lot of weight to Scott's hockey analysis since he was basically a redwood on skates. He wasn't even a particularly good fighter. The GED comment was a lame parting shot.
 
Best scenario is trade Larkin for Willander and first, trade Cat for 2026 first. Bring Stemkos and Trouba for their leadership leadership. Bring Lombardi, ASP and Danielson.

And if God forbid they keep Holl, Petry hopefully keeps him out of the lineup. Barring some miraculous transformation I take Petry over Holl 100 times out of 100.

I thought he was better after the core surgery when he came back. He shouldn’t play off the third pair, but if he is the guy that draws in he is still serviceable unlike Holl.

Also likely to take the vet minimum to stay in town.

Fodder for all those, who are on the Gavrikov train with me. +14,3 is the best defense rating in the league. We need to get our hands on this guy.

Yeah, I have been a big fan. Hopefully he liked playing for McLellan. The Kings fans don't seem too enamored with signing him to a 6 year deal, I'd be totally fine with that.

Trey would have to be the one to get in his ear . Howard will determine where he wants to go and Tampa will facilitate it or let him walk

If hes demand to pay right away I suspect yzerman would hang up lol
