i get that, but it was a slow play that didn’t seem too dangerous despite Holtz being in a prime scoring area. Husso read the play the whole way and was square to the shooter before the puck even got there. And that was 90 seconds into a shift, maybe a better center makes a better play 45 seconds earlier. Or comes around the net faster and makes a better pass to give Holtz a better chance? Let’s not act like McLeod is a top flight offensive center.

What's your point? 2/3 of his 5v5 ice time is with Hughes on the ice with him. I'd say your point makes my original post even worse.

He won't do it until the seat starts to feel hot again, which could be pretty soon if we don't win a couple games in a row pretty soon here.

That said, I think Hughes might be one of the only reasons Haula has scored as many points as he has this year. He may be scoring at a really weak pace without Hughes, Even if a few more pucks start going in the net for him.
