Not knocking him because he's been impressive and looks to have a bright future, but Schmid gave up eight goals last week in an AHL game.

He is playing the 40th game of the season for the first time in his career this weekend.

Schmid had a great development year but that’s what is was, they wouldn’t have sent him down if he hadn’t hit a wall.

Daws played too much the year before, because he had too, it’s really unlikely we can squeeze out more from Schmid this season. He’s 22.

I’m done with Blackwood, part of the reason I don’t mind him playing now is I didn’t want to see him against the Sabres, and we presumably won’t.
