I don't really hate the Pens that much, I actually hate them less than the Capitals and rooted for them to beat the Capitals those 3 years in a row that they played them in the second round. I think the CHOKEJOBS to the Rangers, particularly in the 2013 and 2015 playoffs where they were up 2-0 or 3-1 in the series and still lost, I still hate the Capitals for those.

But like the Capitals, they're pretty much as close as it gets to a first round elimination lock and they haven't won a series since 2018 (like the Caps) and I'd rather just see them not make the playoffs at all this year, just like the Caps finally won't be.

The Pens lost in 2014 and 2015 to the Rangers also, but I never expected them to win either and pretty much thought they had no chance, at least not in 2015, though they did blow a 3-1 series lead (I think?) in 2014. The 2015 series was over in 5 I think and that was the team coached by Mike Johnston. They played the Rangers again in 2016 in the first round and pretty easily took them down in 5 that year, I think.

I dont really hate Pitt much either...though 1991 annoys me the Devs shouldve won that series and got screwed and unlucky

Also 1999 where we just had to close them out in game 6 and Jagr ties it (of course we lose in OT, all we did was lose in OT back then) and then blow a Game 7 at home. Pittsburgh had 13 shots and beat us 4-2. Ridiculous.

This current Crosby/Malkin era Pens I have no issue with. Our paths never crossed in the postseason

I think we’ll win tonight.

All due respect to Pittsburgh, we absolutely own them. Certainly a “matchup thing,” and Prudential Center is a house of horrors for them (not last season but we got 63 points last season lol), I mean go back to when the building opened in 2007-08.

Probably the only other team in the East we can say this about.

OTW or OTL, f*** the Islanders. Rather the Pens/Florida/Buffalo in over them.
I'm okay with that too, just because I HATE the Islanders. I hate the Islanders much more than the Pens for sure.

I'm just tired of the Pens making the playoffs only to be eliminated in the first round every year the last 4 years now.

But yeah, I hate the Islanders and I would LOVE to see them not get in.

But that would also involve Florida picking it up and getting in. Buffalo is done. They need a big run to make the playoffs at this point and they've been streaky, but I think they've run out of time and racetrack. There just isn't enough time left and they're too far out of it.

They also have a lot of games in so few nights to end the season.

If the Islanders get in, they probably bring back Lou, unless he chooses to retire. Lou would have you believe he might have already been extended when a reporter called him on it and he suggested he didn't know what he was talking about. So Lou has either already been extended or he's just bullshitting. It could very well be that he's just bullshitting.

Love stuff like this!

We were planning on bringing my oldest son Jack to his first game for Autism awareness night this year but the weekday timing wasn’t the best as he is still only 3 1/2 and we didn’t want to throw him off too much. We diagnosed him a few months before his 2nd birthday, and it’s honestly incredible to see the strides he has made since we started to get him the therapy and schooling he required. It’s so essential to diagnose as early as possible as so many parents think their kids will just grow out of a “phase” or as often happens they just don’t want to admit their child might have a disability. With Jack Jack it was pretty apparent as he is on the more severe end of the spectrum. Damned if I am not amazingly proud of the little guy. Nothing comes easy for him, which makes every new skill he learns all the more meaningful and rewarding. He’s got a little brother, Leo, who can soon sport a Luke Hughes jersey next to his brothers Jack Hughes jersey. They are the best of friends.
