Unsing heros tonight if you look past Bratter trick.

This game Rango looked like good Yegor. That was another bright thought. He and Mikey brought it all game.

Haula had 20 mins TOI tonight :eek3:. That straw, yo.

Vitek being The Vitek tonight.

Graves saving a goal at least to atone for 1st giveaway.

Hughes looking a little more like Jack. Halway there....
McLeod was good tonight and has been really good in the games I’ve been able to watch of late. Developing into a pretty good player.

Missed the first two periods, but it looked like the lines stayed the same all game after being changed at the start?

Do we think that Ruff will stick with them like this, or will he tinker some more?
He will probably stick with them for at least the first period of the next one lol.

But seldom has a change in line composition been as immediately and richly rewarded as it was tonight in Lindy moving Bratt to Nico’s wing.

Also getting Foote in the lineup (and having him on the trip) and getting Bahl back in the lineup too. Ruff was certainly pushing the right buttons tonight.

We outplayed TB in 2 of the 3 games.

100%. They deserved that Thursday game. If we treat this Tampa Bay set as a mini series, I’d say we showed really well. Tampa couldn’t handle our speed at times and we actually created a lot on the forecheck too. Not just rush chances. Great to see.

Kevin Bahl needs to be the #6 on this team come playoff time. He compliments Severson extremely well. He has come a long way since earlier this season when he was slow with his decision making. Dude just ends plays with his stick and his frame down low.

That’s the best Hughes has looked in awhile. I wonder why…

We outplayed TB in 2 of the 3 games.
In the stretches of the games where Tampa was better, it was a result of us letting them come through the neutral zone unchecked and with too much speed, of our defense backing in, and of their being able to find trailing guys coming in late to walk right down the slot. We did a fair amount of that in the first period tonight.

I thought, on the same note, that we turned the game around in the second period when our play in center ice got much better and we didn’t let them come through the neutral zone cleanly.

Finally Lindy properly mentioned our screening Vasi better than we had in the first two games.

If there’s one guy on Tampa who impressed me in all three games it was Sergachev. What a beast on defense. One on one you do not beat him.

I like Miles. I like Nate. But I don’t think it’s a slam dunk they’re back in the lineup when healthy. But that’ll be up to Yegor and Foote to show they can play the way they did tonight consistently. Saw more skill on our 4th line tonight than we have in quite some time. Yegor is such a good PK’er and I think it makes sense to keep him in the lineup regardless. His shot may get us a critical goal or two in the playoffs even though he won’t be playing with our top skill guys.

Always was a fan of Bahl's potential; hopefully he gets a little angrier come playoff time. Gotta use that frame.

Yeah. I’d like to see him paste some guys too. But I like his approach. He’s not overcommitting to big hits. He’s just being as solid positionally as possible and ending plays along the boards or with his stick.

We know Yegor, when he is on, is a good player.

But we need to pump the brakes on Foote. I mean could he prove to be a guy who can play a solid 4th line game and still bring some goal scoring because of his shot? That would be great. But its one game.
