  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I don’t know how anyone can be happy with getting a point when the team blew TWO third period leads. There’s good points and bad points. That’s a VERY bad point. I’m tired of silver linings. It’s been the same song and dance all year…not just life without Jack.
I am happy because I thought we were going to give up another goal after the tying goal to lose in regulation . Because that’s what we do , choke away games.

f*** Markstrom

Wish he stayed on the IR. His return has been a f***ing absolute nightmare for this team.

They were better off with Allen and Daws. Allen is still here but coach and awful GM refuse to acknowledge he’s the better option.

Since the Christmas break we have 14 wins in 34 games. Only Boston, Philly, Chicago and San Jose have fewer.

Only San Jose has scored fewer goals than us over that stretch.

Truths were being told by a few for months.

Getting scary now, for real. Team may really need these missed points now.
What's scary? Who cares if they miss at this point... Ok, I don't really mean that, but I mean, it's not like I'll be super excited if they make the playoffs.

The only positive of this team making it is to get some experience, maybe 5 games in the playoffs this year. They're going to get crunched by the Canes if they make it.

Hell, maybe they come back with some hunger if they miss.

Markstrom has allowed FIFTEEN 3rd period goals in 7 games since returning.

FiFTEEN!

Somebody can fact check me on that in case I counted wrong.

I don’t think he’s shutout the 3rd period once since returning.

28 goals against in total since returning.

Over half of them in the 3rd period.

But I know, none of them were bad.

It's better than no playoffs at all.
Is it? I mean in general yes. But is it this year? Has to be demoralizing to get destroyed in 4-5 games in the first round after a whole season.

Maybe if they miss they come back with some fire.

Cowards. All of them. When you have a cowardly GM who is too scared to pull the trigger on moves that'll help the team, a coach who has a reputation of being a coward and a choke job, and a group of players who fold at the first sign of adversity, you get this kind of uninspiring hockey on a nightly basis.
GM is apparently fine fine bro. Don’t know what the problem is here.

I’m sure we’ll see Markstrom’s desecrated cremains thrown back out there on Saturday because he f***ed some girl from Chicago 15 years ago.

More than likely because our dumb f***ing coach thinks he’s the best option. And our even dumber GM don’t have the balls to stop him.

We are bottom barrel finding positives. Love the Haula and Timo goals , and somehow team found a way to lose it. Gutting yet again for Markstrom and team. Not blaming Markstrom on the tying goal. That was all Pesce fail.

A point helps us, but 2 was almost a must needed to keep it going.

Pesce to blame for that failed clear on the tying goal. He needed to rip it out, dump it out. Dano would have been screaming
2 points was absolutely not a must, we have a comfortable lead and the only way we won't make the playoffs at this point is stacking regulation losses.

If they miss the playoffs this core is toast, I don't think fans really want that, some angry fans say they are ready to gut everyone, but I don't think people understand how much that will set this franchise back again

Team has to make playoffs this season and get the reps in, see if they can crawl out of the 1st round and beyond, and then retool in the offseason

TOI:

Nico - 24:30, Bratt - 23:28, Timo - 20:13 (no killing)...Then Mercer, Glass, Haula at 16-17, then basically garbage time. Keefe trusts 3 players.

This is a flawed team.

Pius Suter

oh, and since it hasn’t been said enough, i’d like a big round of applause for nico hischier who has once again cowered and turtled when the team counted on him for more than “GREAT EFFORT ON THE FORECHECK SWEETIE”
I love Nico but I expected more out of him after Jack was hurt . I thought he’d elevate his game and help carry us . Nope . Bratt and Meier has but the other guys like Kuke and Nico who are the core pieces need to do more. Nico needs to get going here . Same as Luke . Our core / high end guys need to be our go to guys down the stretch and so far Nico hasn’t been that . Look at Suzuki in Montreal. The guy is carrying his team . He is scoring clutch goals when needed during key points during games and the season . We need Nico to do that .

Not choking away leads left and right like a normal playoff team down the stretch is a must.

This team is barely crawling to the playoffs. Depressing and, so so disappointing after years and years of going through this time and time again.

We don't have a first round pick we aren't gaining anything by missing...I much rather get destroyed in the playoffs than have to watch other teams in the post season
