One thing I will say and I know that draft day GDT will back it up.

The board was NOT happy with the Holtz pick at the time. The reaction to it was met very negatively. I clearly remember that.

I don't remember how I felt. I don't really study prospects anymore. I honestly thought Patrick over Hischier was the right way to go at the time in 2017, but I didn't hate the Hischier pick immediately either.

I was always Hughes over Kakko.

I will also say, I was pro-Wright over Nemec, but I also wasn't too mad after the fact.

You build a team up the middle and can never have enough center depth. Draft BPA and figure it out later. A lot can change in a few years anyway.
