I see Miles with a 2-1-3 stat line in 25 games.

The aforementioned Mitt's with 9g's in 59 games. Never liked that guys effort.

My kids are in bed at 19:30 at the latest. It's a rule. 7 and 5 years old.

If they have any thoughts of possibly giving Daws a full time spot on the NHL roster next year then they probably should be giving him this game. He'll probably get either the Utahrizona or Vegas game, before probably being sent back down.

It would be a real shame if they give him a backup job next year based off of a 5 games of .950% goaltending, like the Canucks did to Spencer Martin the next year after his 5 games of .950% the year before. It went horrific the next year. I get serious vibes from the Vitek/Schmid combo from 23-24 based on how they did the year before. Markstrom is better than Vitek, but he's also older and has already missed at least over a month this year with injury.

Now Martin was considerably older than Daws though. I think he was like 27-28 when that happened and not 24.

I get the reticence but if Daws doesn't at least have a realistic chance to win the backup spot next year, you have to move on from him a la Schmid last offseason. Fitz was very deliberate targeting a short-term backup in Allen giving the young kids time to win a spot on merit.

I'm in a similar boat. But it's tough because he basically has a full workday type of schedule for daycare due to my schedule and when my wife can pick him up. So I'm much more lenient on his bedtime so that I can spend time with him during the week. I'd feel awful if I sent him to bed after spending the whole day at school and not getting home until 6.

My wife disagrees.
