It would be a quick 4 game series if we played like this. We would play either the Leafs / Panthers / Caps / Canes if we make the playoffs. We will get destroyed if we play like this. So frustrating going from looking like a top team in the league up until Christmas, to now looking like an epic struggle to just score a single goal against bottom feeder teams .

It is absolutely frustrating. I will be pissed off in March if this continues. Until then, all I wanted was 50/50 hockey in the last few weeks to the deadline and they gave it to me. Its up to the boys in the room to get regrouped once Nico is back.


Some folks ask me why I am never “mad”. I do get mad, but this is my 15th season as a season ticket holder. My 26th year watching this team. I have seen it all. I have seem great teams turn into pumpkins quickly and vice versa. I have seen both happening in the same season many many times.

We have the pieces in place to rebound in March. We need our top 2 centers healthy. We need Markstrom back. We also need one or two forward upgrades by Fitz.

As long they have a playoff cushion, my wrath is held back. But the Danometer is still at a 5.5. They are walking a fine line.

Get through this third and Saturday. They need a trade coming immediately out of the 4 nations.

Also Vegas was bound to have a get right game, they've lost in some dumb ways in their L4. Lost to Dallas in OT in a game they led, blew a 2-1 lead to NYR in the third, got Sorokin'd, idk how CBJ beat them but I assume they got goaltendered in that one somehow

Knights feed is showing extended replay of the second goal . Everyone was just gliding around watching the Knights do whatever they wanted. This team is garbage. They forgot how to play . Keefe needs to lose his shit on them . And Fitz needs to do something about the bottom 6 . Don’t care about cap room. Other teams figure that shit out , so can Fitz. Package assets along with contracts if you have to. Time to get rid of the useless trash like Haula and Tatar and Bastian . Traded Mercer for a 3C . Get Evans from the Habs . Remember when Tatar-Nico-Mercer was a good line? Two of those three are invisible on a regular basis now. Haula used to play pretty decently with Jack and Bratt. He's also invisible now.

And then there's the 4th line. Remember when it had Wood and McLeod? We lost a ton of speed there. Cotter is OK for a 4th like role, but guys like Bastian and Lazar are just like what's the point even?

And Timo... I'm starting to think we picked up damaged goods from SJ. He was coming off an injury when we got him and I feel like this guy has just never really found his game in NJ.

This actually looks like a game circa the first year where Hynes was here and Cory was still good and we were still losing 2-0 because Adam Henrique and Kyle Palmieri couldn’t get a goal.

This might be a new low after Buffalo looked like the new low.

P.S. last game sucked too. We looked pretty similar to this against a shit Pens team. But we scored two goals cause the Pens are a f***in joke and we actually had 20 shots.

I have this premonition that Fitzgerald will make a deal for Bjorkstrand. He has 20+ goals in 6 of his last 7 seasons and isn’t a UFA until after next season. He makes 5.4m but if Siegs goes on long term IR and Seattle retains some salary, it could work from a cap perspective. Fitz has also done business with Seattle before, as well.

The problem is we need more than one forward addition and I don’t see how we have the cap space to make that happen (unless Fitz goes bargain basement shopping and finds a gem).
