Vegas having the East Coast Trip version of our West Coast Trip

Canes been pretty meh lately

11-8-3 in last 22

Unlike last season, this seasons OOT is a lot less insane. It seemed like last season, no matter what happened, the out of the town went not our way.

It seems only the Caps have some magic in their season where they are legit not getting any bad stretches since they took off.

Yeah it's gone a bit unnoticed but a lot of east teams have meh records

He has too much time on a shootout. On a breakaway he has someone chasing him so it’s in with speed, one move and a shot. In a shootout he goes slow tries to make too many moves and over stick handles.

He two attempts this year have been with more speed and the first one was good even though he missed.

That too. Hope he figures it out, but I hope the team lets him sit a few out just to let him reset on them mentally, for a few. He's so good everywhere else in the game, it seems impossible that he just isn't the guy for SO.

Peeking at the Pitts board they also in shambles for SO. Haha.

He has scored a few penalty shot goals during this.

Have a hard time envisioning Vegas extending their losing streak to five against a team already not playing great hockey for a long period of time and now trying to stay afloat while missing key players. I’ll be ecstatic if the devils pull it off.

Pretty fitting who scored the shootout winner that night and tonight. Almost virtually the same shot too but went the glove side tonight

God our team speed that season was electrifying. Thanks for this tape. The jump in our step in those counter attacks is amazing.

Crazy we’ve won only 2 shootouts in that 2 season time span. I wish when Timo has daylight to shoot and breakaways in the games generally he would rip high like he does in these shootouts.

I think maybe this shootout goal gets him going now generally..

Jack made a good and decisive move in this particular shootout which I liked. Puck jumped on him. Oh well

Speaking of which, ice was ASS tonight. Players falling all night and it cost us a very good player for the foreseeable future. Shame on those ice conditions
I think talk of bad ice is often overdone.

Not tonight though, especially on the blue line in front of our bench. At least 3 falls on that spot. Kind of remember a 4th. Plus Noesen near the far blue line late in the 4th.

Cotter earned his flowers. 12 goals, playing a physical game, big shootout goal to get the boys going.

Hes been a solid acquisition.
And on a super cheap contract.

I don’t know why, it was obviously wrong, but I swore I saw a few weeks ago that Pittsburgh was 4-0 in shootouts this year. But it says they’re 1-5 after they lost tonight.

missed tonight’s game, can someone tell me me what happened with siegenthaler?
he went to dump the puck and on the one foot shoot-in he caught and edge and it folded under on him 90 degrees to the side and he fell into the boards. It hurt and he wasn't putting weight on it.

It was the right knee he fell on that he was limping on.

I'm a bit late commenting tonight, but I felt extremely confident once it went to the SO. I feel Daws is the best goalie against breakaways and shootouts that we've had in years. It's his puck tracking and focus in gameplay that concerns me (plus I wasn't thrilled with his puck play today, but that could have just been communication issues in his first game back up).
