Devils haven’t lost in Pittsburgh in 4 years…

My sister is in Pittsburgh for work so she is able to go to the game. She ran into Chico at lunch. Chico walked around with her for 30 mins talking hockey and will be getting her some vip seats for the game.

What an awesome man!

He's seriously like the nicest man in the world. I hate that I haven't run into him in years.

I did hear people scream ''CHICO!'' during one of the two games in a row against the Panthers and I turned around. I couldn't see him though. And it was close enough to game time where he was probably heading to the booth to call the game.

I know it feels like we're playing like garbage right now, but NHL .500 in the last 10 games is good enough to keep us afloat until Markstrom and the centers come back.

That being said, we cannot have more losses to bad teams like the Buffalo game. Get the points you're supposed to get against bottom feeders and whatever happens against top teams is whatever happens.
Only because I have A LOT to say on this topic, I know I already replied hours ago.

The biggest bummer of this stretch and whatever happens against top teams is whatever happens, we haven't played a top team in weeks probably and haven't played a particularly good team in over 2 weeks now.

Ottawa was the last good team we played. Tampa was the last team I'd consider a ''Top team'' that we played and they've been cratering worse than us since Christmas.

The best teams we've probably played in the last 2.5-3 weeks are Ottawa and probably Montreal when they had just come off that heater, as sad as that is. We play a top team on Thursday.

EDIT - We actually played Florida and Toronto (and got an OTL in each game) more recently than the Tampa game. But out of the last 7 opponents (Flyers 3 of those times) Ottawa is the only team currently in a playoff spot. The mediocre results in a stretch against weak teams is probably why morale is very low here. I know it is with me.

I don't agree with the Daws decision.
Yet hopefully this will get them to play the way they did in December. They should know if they just f*** around tonight that Daws will probably not bail them out. This Pittsburgh team is pretty bad after the Crosby line. Sucks not to have Nico going against Sid.

Recent history suggest that we play well v.s both Pittsburgh and Vegas. Just looking for some positives.
