A little annoyed that the Habs score their 3rd goal off a cross check that knocks Hischier out of the game.

Not even that they missed the initial call but that there was no soft makeup call afterwards.

And no Meier didn’t commit any interference on the game winner so that’s not a makeup.

If Jack's finger is bad, I'll probably put Huala back on Jack's line.

Hughes Huala Bratt
Meier Mercer Noesen
Cotter Dowling Palat
Tatar Lazar Bastian
I would go with this:

Palat - Hughes - Bratt
Meier - Dowling - Mercer
Cotter - Haula - Noesen
Tatar - Lazar - Bastian

Or if you want more balance, I feel like Tatar has earned a promotion and could work well with Hughes and Palat.

Palat - Hughes - Tatar
Noesen - Haula - Bratt
Meier - Dowling - Mercer
Cotter - Lazar - Bastian

Hear me out

If we can win the next three games, that’s five in a row.

That would really boost morale. Both within the fanbase and probably all around.

And it would also make good on the pretty bad stretch before that.

If there’s any time to win 5 in a row it’s right now. Flyers, Flyers, Sabres, Pens. That’s probably the last four consecutive weak opponents we’ll face for the remainder of the year.

If we win 5 in a row that gets us out of any kind of danger for a while. How about 6 in a row? I’d at least like to see us win 4 of these 5 before facing Vegas.

We’re not really in danger at this moment, but we also can’t afford another bad stretch right now. We can’t afford to stumble too much right now. We have some good breathing room all over again with 5 wins in a row and after that we have Vegas and we’re in Montreal again before the break. There’s a tremendous opportunity to feast on the next four opponents and get some wins.

And the beauty of this upcoming week is no back to backs. Games on Monday, Wednesday, Sunday. The more lax schedule couldn’t have come at a better time given the Nico and Jack injuries.

This team is f***ing good when it wants to be

That’s the most frustrating part.
When they play for each other for sure. Problem is I see big gaps in when certain players are willing to put in that extra effort and try to make a difference on any given shift. Lots of just trying to give the puck to certain players and chip and change to not screw up instead. Mercer, Cotter, Haula, Bastian, and now even Lazar seem to have a lot of shifts where you're looking for that jump, that drive to fight through a check to get to the loose puck and I'm just not seeing it like we did early in the year. We need our lunch bucket guys to start grinding out more good shifts and shift after shift.

100 percent agree

They played a great maybe 45 minutes today and controlled a lot of the play. 15 minutes of the game were dog shit and almost cost them. They need to lock in

That's a great win, even if MTL stole a point. They are super dangerous offensively, have been on a heater recently and have a great goalie. Allen is not the best, he probably ain't gonna steal you games you should have lost, but he's good enough to give them a chance to win. I just hope Nico is back soon, he's the mvp of this team. I'm hopeful it's nothing major as he did take a shift and didn't leave right away. The team looks good again, the injuries and depth is hurting us a bit, hopefully Fitz makes some cheap additions at the tdl.
