I had no idea his family stayed in Toronto and that he was going back and forth during off days. He said they were all up there for 9 years and his sons basically grew up there so it does make sense not to disrupt all that but still pretty crazy.

With that short return home out of the way we're back on the road to the North tonight, and it's time we return the favor earlier this year for Chief Keefe's sake.

While we'll be without our beloved Nose, it appears they'll be down John Tavares for the foreseeable future with him being placed on IR today. Both teams will be banged up a bit heading into this one.

I was thinking about football coaches and guessing it’s the same with hockey coaches, he may spend so much time at work during the season that the amount of time they would see each other during the year is pretty restricted anyway. So then you make the choice to not disrupt their current lives to only add a small amount of “ships passing in the night” moments.

It does stink being away from the family. I think I see how they reasonably come to the conclusion but it must be hard.

He had mentioned it during an earlier media scrum in the year and I was shocked. I can't imagine how tough that has probably been on him over the course of a long season on top of adjusting to an entirely new area on his own.

It's what makes Laura Mohr the perfect woman for matching him on it, or even beating him to the punch.

The one thing I love about this show (besides the hockey of course) is that they made a side character who could've been irritating if they kept his entire schtick around and made him likable. I enjoyed Letterkenny but felt it definitely started to get stale after a certain point. I think Shoresy clears it.
