We will partake kin the second season something we haven't done much of. So the world hasn't crashed in the NHL hockey mix in Newark, New Jersey. Mercer's catching too much shit because of expectations and the guys around him being useless. He's a perfectly good 3rd liner.

Don't get the Mercer hate. Yet to miss a game, constantly willing to play in hard areas, and plays in all three zones.

Guess his fantasy numbers aren't good enough or the goals above expected crowd have issues.

Kakko is a useful hockey player. I’d trade Mercer+++ for Kakko without blinking.

Two more assists the other night playing on what is arguably Seattle's top line. Maybe he wasn't the Rangers' problem.

Great game by the ducks, the devils underestimated them, played sloppy and arrogantly and got clowned for that. Terrible defensive effort and multiple bad passes and breakout attempts where they tried something fancy and got stripped off the puck. There were plenty of good offensive moments though, but Dostal was excellent. Hope they take this as a learning experience and know that they have to play their solid defensive system no matter who the opponent is.

Terrible defensive effort and multiple bad passes and breakout attempts where they tried something fancy and got stripped off the puck. There were plenty of good offensive moments though, but Dostal was excellent. Hope they take this as a learning experience and know that they have to play their solid defensive system no matter who the opponent is.

The soft plays and turnovers at the blue lines, passes to nowhere and fancy play attempts misfiring were consistent problems in both Carolina games too.

We were riding an amazing wave. There’s always a trough behind one. I chalk it up to the holidays too. But start playing the game the right way tonight. The results will follow.

Keefe is just not a guy who changes lines a lot. I think it has paid solid dividends overall, but there is the downside of a line that just doesn't work getting more time then it should, or a line possibility that should get a look, not getting one soon enough for our liking.

Horrific? I thought we played well enough, just had some great chances denied by Dostal. My only critique would be allowing the Duck push back after we tied it.

I like the overall look to his game, but he does need to generate more offense. He's not a play maker so I think we need to see more from him in terms of getting sog's.
