f*** you bratt. of course you score after its out of reach you bum.

Bratt is not a Star Player.

He's a very good complimentary player that, when paired with an actual Star player (Jack), is very effective.

If that wasn't apparent to me then, it's apparent to me now.

He is still Chopped Liver...he just disguised himself as Filet Mignon for awhile.

And Nico, as much as I love the guy, isn't a Star player (even though he should challenge for the Selke every season).

5-0 for jersey rtirment nights.

They straight up embarrassed the organization
tonight getting their asses handed to them on home ice. The owners need to step in before the season is over. I'd be okay if they let go Fitzgerald go if we don't make the playoffs. If that happens than we know Ruff will be out as well. Hopefully this game is an eye opener. Whenever this team loses it just makes you question if our core players are actually good enough to ever challenge for the Cup. This season has been 1 step back aside from a few Luke Hughes & Nemec highlights to go along with plenty of lowlights. Holtz cementing himself as an NHLer as well. Aside from that the veterans on this team are not playing at a high enough level.

His press conference was so divorced from reality
Yeah, that was really embarrassing. Forget the six goals against, let's win the rest of the game. More than strange. Why not fire Lindy now and let Green show what he can do. If he can turn it around, then give him next season as a HC, If not, go for somebody completely different.

It’s hard to say they should have signed either guy in my view. That cap space would be nice to have right now.
21-22 season was demoralizing so I’m glad they went out and spent money. We could use another center and Palat sitting out is getting very expensive - to pay his contract and his replacement’s

For what, the available goalie upgrade that doesn't exist? Severson, we'd just be complaining about his deal instead of Palat's, for different reasons. I'm not worried about three years from now when the cap should be drastically different by then.

It’s great that the young guys have excelled with their natural offensive skills under Lindy, but who’s teaching these kids the important little details and work ethic required at the nhl level in the other two zones? The sacrifices that need to be made as an individual for the betterment of playing as a unit? How to win games in multiple ways?

I hate how this team plays. I watch teams like Boston and now f***ing Philly with their lunch pale roster who play the right way and it just f***ing pisses me off.

He did say we played a great game lol.
Great game, except for the four or five comical breakdowns which led to goals, a few more that didn't, hideous finishing, turnovers and dumb decisions galore? Three guys went to Seguin on goal #3 leaving Duchene wide open lol...Hintz had wide open ice in front on goal #4 because everyone was either at the point or the other side of the ice. Nemec and Luke were abused on goals #2 and #6 but goal #2 a lot of other guys made mistakes even before that.

Didn't see the game just watched the highlights, and ya, our rookie D-men were on the wrong side of a few season worthy highlights for Dallas.

Also Bahl made a pretty simple point, for all the shit we complain about in here, and a lot of it are legit issues, but these b2b's are what are really tanking our record. I'm not sure how you really fix that, Bahl said to get rested, which seems obvious and simple, but probably something they are already doing, so I don't know.

Run Meier - Hischier - Bratt next game. They were good in the playoffs.

And please sit Foote. He stinks and 4RD doesn’t work. Put in LD Hatakka. He has NHL experience
Foote is a complete and utter disaster. He’s a busted pick for TB, which is why they let him become UFA at age 24. And he got nothing but a two way deal here to play in the minors (and probably other teams) unless you believe he turned down deals for a better shot at sticking with the NHL team to play in the same organization as his brother. I do not.

I’m pretty sure he was mostly a healthy scratch for their two recent cup runs, but played for much of that run where they lost in the finals and could threepeat.

He’s an anchor of the highest form.

If his name was Cal Hande, he wouldn’t get opportunities anymore.

Fitz assembled the talent and has done a good job....He now has to make the right move whether that is stick with Ruff or move on but that next move is critical for him and has to be done right.....If not then his seat will start to heat up

easy - don’t run a defensive system that requires everyone to skate around trying to figure out who to cover, leaving points open that force wingers to effectively skate suicides in the zone when the puck circles around the boards to a wide open point? or that forces both d men into every corner board battle which tires them out more than just covering the middle?

they’re one of the youngest teams in the league but they can’t win back to backs because they’re tired, it’s all in the system and preparation. it’s a coaching failure more than anything

I'm not arguing Foote is good, why would he be, he's like 5th on our depth chart, but he's a +3 5v5.

Nemec is a -3 since Foote came up, and has looked brutal on a couple of the goals.

Hughes's is a -2 and is also starring in the goals against highlights.

Good last year though?

what does last year have to do with this teams current struggles?

it’s a different roster. we have a lot of rookies on d forced to play a complicated and physically demanding system, and slower forwards that aren’t as good on the forecheck or as quick to cover open men in the d zone in a system that requires quick reads and a lot of ground to cover

nemec losing siegenthaler is a big change and it makes sense that he'd have a big drop off, and hughes is getting pushed up into the lineup to play the harder competition.

it's not surprising that they're struggling right now, i'm willing to give them a pass because way too much is being asked of them

If it's the same system, why wouldn't that system negatively effect last years team in this way, or the seasons before that?

I don't know what the previous seasons records were, but pretty confident they weren't this bad.

I'm willing to give them a pass too.

It's the critique's of Cal Foote that I was really responding too.

I don't really see these goals against as partner issues for Nemec, well the 2-1 the other night was a lousy spot, but he's also just playing them poorly, getting smoked last night another example.

But as far as partners go, it's he and Marino together which are the issue. 2-7 goal differential.

A +1 with Sieg's
A +5 with Smith
+2 with Luke
