I was getting called out pretty hardcore about how much better a player than Tatar he was. And how we wouldn't miss Tatar. But man that guy fit this team like a glove and Toff is the antithesis of him.

Anyone who did that doesn't know the sport quite frankly, Tatar did a lot of great work with Nico/Mercer last year. That line was arguably our best line for much of the year with Jack+Bratt having a rotating door of wingers on their side.

Now, yes. Sharangovich is on a heater. The first 15 games or so he had like 2 goals and Toffoli looked way better than he does now. It's starting to feel like a Shero trade where it made sense at the time but just hasn't worked out.

Don’t hold your breath for the first one. Unless this continues when we’re healthy. We probably need to miss the playoffs by quite a bit. Anything better than 80-85 points and Ruff is almost definitely coming back.

Imagine if we actually fired Ruff before a single game on his extension though? Even Hynes got to coach for a couple of months after his kicked in.

I think 3 and 4 are a lock no matter what happens this year.

At this point there's no reason to give Ruff a leash. He shouldn't even be here now. His leash has been on for about 2 seasons now. If we miss the playoffs & we stick with Ruff that would be an albatross.
