No excuse to lose this game.

Not at home, definitely not.

This is the worst team we’ve played probably since Anaheim. They only have 1 regulation win, so I don’t think anyone is as bad as them.

I’d like to see another beat down like the one against Columbus. Something close to it at least.

Gotta be better than last game. Philly really isn’t much better than them, if any better.

Philly is awful but they don't stop coming at you that's what makes them a problem, Chicago once you punch them in the mouth they fold....need to not have a lazy start an we can completely blow them out

A woman at the food store was wiping her nose with a tissue. Asked if I wanted a receipt.... i said no... and then she insisted cause it was over $100.
I just got over the Rona. My second bout and it was way worse than the first. Ended up in the hospital with this one. Everyone seems sick so I'm not surprised it's running around the league.

It would be great record even if we lose next 10 games in a row.

LGD!!!!

You're not wrong but let's not do that! Lol

Can someone tell me what time Prudential Center opens for fans? Haven't been to a game in some time, and would like to get there early and walk around inside with the parents.

5:30pm, it's always 90 mins prior for Devils games unless they note it otherwise

He's not that bad and he's obviously a good veteran voice in the room. I have no problem with him being the #6 D. It's not exactly like Smith is keeping a Luke Hughes out of the lineup.

It’s absolutely nitpicking. He’s not good but brings a different look than much of our D and for a 6th D we could do worse.

I’d still just rather have Bahl.

Glad you’re doing better.

I've gotten fortunate since doing the Florida thing. I spent the better portion of every winter with at least a runny nose close to daily and sometimes worse. I have it happen a few days a year here, but nothing too serious. I had a mildly sore throat and some excess phlegm about 4 days ago.

I remember my last few months living in Jersey I got really sick and it was in May-June. I think it started in May, stayed till June, went away for 2 weeks or something like that and resurfaced again for another week or two. I was sick for like 4 of 6 weeks or something almost until July.

I've fortunately only been significantly sick about two times since moving here. First time was another one of those 4 out of 6 week deals in February-March of 2019. It went away (or at least the symptoms do) and returned after a week or so.

Then I'm pretty sure I had covid in January of 2021, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the 2019 illness. I felt fairly good after 6 days, but I stayed home from work for about 9-10 days and I think I went out for dog food after 7 days or something. Of course I had the lingering cough for about 4 weeks after that, which always happens when I develop a cough.

I think the change of climate has helped a bit that I don't get a nasty cold every year.

I think you just had BSD. Blackwood Systemic Disorder. That happens with too much exposure to underperforming goaltending without the appropriate personal protective equipment. I think there is a tv commercial where you can join a class action introduced by a non-attorney spokesman.

Blackwood. Schmid. Grubauer. Hasek. Brodeur. It doesn’t matter who is in net for this team going forward. They’re going to lose more than they win. Their play the past few games is all you need to know it’s going down the tubes fast. I foresee at best a 2nd wild card slot and a sweep at the hands of the big bad Bruins in April.

Great minds think alike.

Tonight will be yet another tough test for the NJD. CHI is much better than they're given credit for. Fortunately we won't be facing Peter Mrazek, who also refuses to lose to the NJD, as he's injured, but Soderblom is a legit Calder Trophy candidate.

You mean the 2021 illness? Funny enough, that was about a week before the NHL season started that year, I'm pretty sure. Which means it was probably about 2 weeks before Blackwood got covid that year.

As far as the 2019 illness, I clearly remember being sick during the game where we were playing the Wild and Kinkaid started and we were down 4-1 (or something?) and came back and won 5-4 in OT with Cory, which was his first regular season win in over an entire calendar year.

Good thing this game isn't being aired on NHL Network, because otherwise we'd see that ad for a BSD class action approximately 9892653 times during tonight's game.
