Had this argument a lot over the summer.

Ruff actively wants his players to be passive, to let their talent outshine the opponent. That's great and all, but you need to let these guys get spicy too.

Always knew they had this in them. No way Keefe would have them on a leash like Ruff.

It's a mindset and it's absolutely something that can be coached. People argued for years it was solely the roster's fault and we needed to trade skill guys out for tough guys.

We just needed a proper coach.

Though adding a couple of psychos and shit stirrers didn't hurt either

Adding Cotter, Noesen, Pesce and Kovacevic definitely helped lol.

Honestly don't care about the Timo major. I am almost glad we have guys to go after someone who's running around being a pest.

It's the kind of thing where if the Preds came back, we should all be mad... but it ended up being one of the best moments of the season. The absolute master class penalty kill leading to an ENG from Dowling.

Perfection.

Yeah, gotta be honest, while I hate that it turned out to be a major I was happy to see Timo give it to L'Hereux. Between that and giving it back to Lauzon, we showed we're not going to be f***ed with tonight.

100%. Like Patty cross-checking Steve Ott in the mouth off a faceoff. Can't just be your goons setting the tone. Loved to see it and loved that they killed it.

Me too, I was glad Timo wasn't taking crap. He gets cross checked in the face and upper area, so many times throughout the season and last year especially, good to see him go a little crazy. I remember him taking a bad one up high last year, and seen a few already this year.

People will know not to push the buttons too much. This team is molding exactly into what we have been eager to see. A tougher, no nonsense machine that can score good goals and is defensively strong.. + above average goaltending.

The Timo reaction was a little harsh but glad it happened. The team rallied around it make it a non-issue.

The vibe in the arena today was really positive and then a little wild when Timo did that.

8-2-0 in last 10, with some very winnable games coming up.

Thinking we could go on a heater here.

Compared to the 8-2 stretch they went on at a similar point in the season last year I think the hockey of this stretch has definitely been better.

Its almost perfect. Still need an upgrade on the bottom 6, and even for top 6 of possible

But yes, Fitz did wonders this offseason

Let the Sens flounder and bring me Giroux
