I think we saw the best and worst of Timo tonight. He got quite a few really good looks but also did a lot of dumbass shit.

I think we all thought this had trap game written all over it. They put all the doubt out of that the second they hit the ice flying. These are the kinds of efforts at home we need if we want to do damage in the playoffs.
tremendous game for NJ. Goals defense and big night for the third line and even an accidental cheap shot!
I'd be mad even if he got a meaningless 5k fine. L'Hereux kind of sold that cross check.

I'll be honest. The first goal had me nervous for a few seconds.
He was obv frustrated on that penalty, but I give him a lot of credit for sticking up for Cotter.

Yeah he just needs to rein it in a little bit. But you can see what a force he can be when he’s forechecking and pushing hard like he was tonight
This felt like a 22-23 game. While I still would like them to open up more against better teams they're at least playing well defensively in those games. In games like this though where you're playing a shit team I want to see them just flying up and down the ice

I thought it was the best 60 minute effort of the season. They just dominated. Nico was a beast all game and I’ll say it again that our defense is one of the best in the league, although Hamilton is a bit shaky on the defensive side. Timo, not the smartest penalty, however, I do love the passion.
