Was evident in the Florida games as well, especially the 2nd game. What strikes me most is how well in doing this we stood up to them physically. That was the key to holding them off. A team that had habitually bullied us couldn’t do that last night - indeed in contrast to that, we gave better than we got .
That’s a huge difference this year. We play a physical game against anyone.
Given how bad a regular season team we have been the last 10 years, I feel this caveat isn't even a thing for us.With the obvious “it’s the regular season” caveat, I’m super impressed by Keefe and what he’s done here in a relatively short time.
He's a big guy with some skills. Has a decent stat line in Utica this season. I've thought he's looked pretty good in the NHL in his previous call ups.4-1 in that stretch. Wild. Lots of great wins against good teams.
That said, get Foote off this team. I just can't figure out why he keeps getting chances. Utica sucks and yet almost every forward option there is a better call up than him.
Who? I want names.View attachment 934968
I recall a poster that likes to tell everyone how right they are about everything saying that Fitz should’ve been fired for the Allen trade.
I mean...he's a Vet and knows how to play the position properly without any "advice", I imagine. He must be ignoring Rogalski.
Devils are 12-0 when carrying a lead into the 3rd now. They have learned how to lock it down and close out good games that they should be winning.
Allen has been saving a lot this year. Perfect back up so far this season, better than our starter who has been decent too. Good sign that even when the team isn’t having a good night, somebody will step up. Tatar has stepped up a couple games, along with the adventurous pair scoring goals to lock down a win is encouraging. Meier Hischier and Luke are next in line to bang some goals inIn general yeah they've been good at that. Idk if last night was that though lol. Allen saved their ass hard in the 3rd
He got right up after the block and looked fine, I guess we’ll wait and see. Keefe acknowledged him and pointed at him in the dressing room in the post-game video.Anyone hear how Nico is doing after that block?

Sometimes that's all you need brother.
Exactly, it’s still a part of it. And certainly part of it we’ve been allergic to in recent history.
On another note, more love for Tuna:
That’s like saying your girl friend has a great personality because her stats are ugly.

Tatar might not have the box score stats he used to but good things always happen with him on the ice (unless he's with a goon)
Foote has been very lucky in his time in the NHL but he would rate as one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. He has scored 6 goals in 224 minutes of ice time. Over the past 3 seasons, he is 2nd in goals/60 rate 5v5 for forwards who've played 100 minutes or more.
High IQ, good work ethic, good wheelsTatar might not have the box score stats he used to but good things always happen with him on the ice (unless he's with a goon)
