Last I checked, the Devils are in the top 7 in the league in both goals scored and goals allowed per game. We can score a lot and give up not many too.

The Devils numbers are pretty good for sure. The Canes have always been stingy on defense but averaging 4 goals a game is a bit scary. They're over a half a goal more than us, I don't know how they're doing it.

Not knowing their numbers in detail but it feels like something that isn't sustainable.

Going to be a good team no matter what but have to figure they come down to normal good team levels vs super elite team levels at some point.

Team has given the fans a reason to be more optimistic.

I fear that we will be rusty in the first period after four days off. So survive that. I also haven’t liked our lack of intensity in general at home all season - so please none of that.

Maybe we can have a real home crowd who actually pick us up?

Really I have to say I don’t know what to expect from us tonight. Next game against the Caps I’ve much more confidence in.

I know exactly what you are saying. I am hoping the rest at home brings some early energy.

The crowd has to be behind them all the way regardless of the outcome during each period.

I am not sure there is a difference playing Carolina vs Washington Caps,both tough but they have their feet wet after tonight before Saturday's game.

Very low expectations for this one.

I'm tired of seeing us incapable of beating Carolina, the Rangers and Tampa, all of whom we got a think a combined zero wins against last year and maybe a couple of OT losses. Same with Washington, although we did beat them this year. We lost to a lot of SHIT teams last year, but that was so much more of a blow because we went winless (I think) against Carolina, the Rangers, Washington and Tampa.

This team should be capable of beating Carolina once in a while in the regular season.
