Your Favourite goal of all time

Basic choice, but favourites tend to be that way:

My favourite player ever, playing for my favourite team, scored a double overtime goal in game seven. Made even better because the best play by play man ever called it (Bob Cole of course) and it also happened to have the best cinematography of any goal ever with the over the shoulder camera shot. Perfect for me.

#1 in this clip. RIck Nash, with a Finnish defender literally draped all over him, dekes the goalie out of his jock in the final of the world championship.

My favourite goal from "The Captain"...

"OFF THE FLOOR, ON THE BOARD! PAUL KARIYA!"
That would be a nice candidate for the best goal-call-moment combo, etc... (would they have won that cup, ...), the walk to come back to the bench montage and so on...

But Kariya not remembering it and lifelong damage put a bit of damper to appreciate it fully to me.

McDavid goal make it look it is a bit unfair to be that mobile, agile and fast with that a stick that long...

The sequence of events, it being the playoffs between Philly and Pittsburgh, the fact it was shorthanded...

Easily my favorite goal of all time.

HM/non-Pens related:

Marchand against the eventual 2014 Stanley Cup Champs. Totally outworks/outplays Carter, Doughty, Kopitar and Muzzin 1v4.

Depends if I'm thinking favourite as in 'aesthetically pleasing' or favourite as in 'hugely important goal'. As a Caps fan, the former will be dominated by Evgeny Kuznetsov, the latter by Alex Ovechkin.

I always really loved this goal, it was the first time I'd seen this move pulled off so smoothly, with so much deception:

And then my favourite Ovechkin goal, which I think I remember so fondly (despite them losing this game) because it was at the tail end of the final season where he was truly playing at an MVP level, so it was sort of a 'he still has it' moment:

Lemieux vs. North stars is the cleanest, purest deke I have ever seen in a goal that mattered to this day.

The pass reception, him galloping in the neutral zone, the smooth back-hand move in perfect flow, the puck never touching the defenseman's skates or stick, the final touch against the goalie.

Quintessential Mario...

If it had been anyone else scoring, it would have been a beauty of a Cup winning goal.

But for it to be McCarty, after the events of that spring, really put the cherry on top.

It was only the second period, but in my memory it seems much later in the game because you knew it was all over.
