He does not look too happy.

I think Bouchard will change the power play a touch, which is obvious, in terms of offering a big shot at the point.

People like to shit on Rishaud, but I'm with him that our RD depth worries me. Would have really liked to add Klingberg at the deadline to split time with Desarnais
Meh, Klingberg has been poor all year. If you’re gonna go with a rookie, go with a big, tough, steady defensive one. We have Kulak to jump in if we need a puck moving push.

Well we're basically 1/5 on the PP (I'm counting the 4 min as 2 PPs).

Which is 20%...
4 minute PPs are counted as 1 PP statistically.

But either way, even if it were 20%, that is still decent, especially since even while it was not clicking we would still get shots and the Jets were bailed out by some good luck on some sequences. It just looks good.

During that last power play the Oilers had the Jets waaaay out of position numerous times but didn't get the shot off.

It's been what..4 periods since Barrie was traded. Be patient. The Peg is #2 in the league on the pk. 25% vs the 2nd best pk with a switched up pp is doing just fine. Give it some time. Lol

I'm loving Desarnais, but he pivots like a dump truck. Makes me think I might still have a shot to be in the show. Klingberg would insulate Bouchard and give a nice offensive option. Would have been happy to add Gudas too, but I know we were tapped out of cap space

I’m not a fan of helly all of a sudden being good again. Effing guy always brings his A game against us. It’s annoying when he’s been a sieve lately. I’m really starting to believe the oilers and McDavid are actually getting other teams and goalies amped up to play :)

I don't think that option existed out there. A name floated around was Jensen but he re-upped in Washington.

I guess we can talk about Parayko but that was gonna be difficult to make work especially since I don't think St. Louis (or any team really) is interested in taking on 8 years of salary retention.

Parayko would be a huge mistake. It was Pietriangelo that carried that team. 7 more years of an aging defensemen... no thanks

Yeah the jets get scored on on pk once every 7 opportunities. 1/4 is pretty good.

You also have to consider the season rates. Oilers PP with Barrie in likee 180 minutes is 16 GF/60. With Bouch in like 55 minutes they're at 15.9 GF/60.

Klingberg has been ass in Anaheim and the future is now for Bouchard. He has the ability to be a top PP producer.
I don't think you can take much from his numbers in Anaheim. They're the worst team in the league with the worst coach in the league. He was a smart buy low candidate for Minny, and I won't be surprised at all if he helps them
