Hmmm, as a Jets fan the team needs a #1RHD and a #1C. Probably lean towards Bourque to play alongside Morrissey. Very hard to pass on adding Mckinnon though.

As a UTAH HC fan you know the actual GM picks Lindros. Same needs as the Jets but the franchise has never had a 1C so I would take McKinnon.

OP says these guys are 18 yr olds so we don't know what they will become

What we know here is that ERIC LINDROS was the best prospect and had the most potential in this list. Although it's close with Ovechkin I suppose

Not sure why Lidstrom is listed, he was a 3rd round pick

It also says knowing what we know now about them

Bourque. Two decades of elite play + a better player than Lids imo.

I wanna see Lindros the most though for the chaos.

lol at the MacKinnon and Drai votes

If we’re going with the knowledge of how their careers will unfold, I’d go Ovi.

Lidstrom is the biggest argument to me in this scenario with HM to Sakic both one franchise players with Cups but I’d take the skill and entertainment of Ovi.
Jagr is going to be amazing and then get a little weird and dip from your team in a decade.
Lindros is going to be dominant then get his egg cracked.
Bourque is going to be an all timer but have to leave you to win a Cup which means you never do.
Leon and Mac still have careers to lay out compared to the other greats.

If this is a hypothetical you get any player at 18 with a clean slate ahead, I’m taking Lindros and teaching him how to skate with his head up before he hits NHL ice.
