Kesselring actually sucks. But people don't want to hear that.
Quality 2nd pairing minutes on a middling team where he produces well with limited PP time (probably upwards of 40 pts this year) and more good than bad happening for his team with him on the ice. And he's only 24 in his 2nd full NHL season.

I have a feeling that Coffey would have brought him along quite well.

Nice to see a win that wasn’t butt clenching. But this was pretty much a scheduled loss for Utah. But a win is a win and Oilers usually suck on NYE so I’ll take it.

Hopefully the middle 6 get going in the new year and Skinner keeps improving,

High danger chances were 13-5 for the Oilers. Skinner was good enough but the Oilers were the better defensive team tonight.

Kapanen, Janmark, RNH and Perry all struggled tonight. Mainly because Kapanen and Janmark were garbage together. Rest of the lines were good but we might see some changes with those two.

Kapanen and Nurse were the only Oilers to register a hit (2 each) for only 4 hits on the njght. I wouldn't be surprised if we target a depth forward who likes to hit.

Stetcher and Emberson struggled a bit but should be fine as our 6/7. We definitely need someone else to fill that 4/5 hole.
