if A is blow me away
B is play better than expected
C is meet expectations
D is below expectations
F is fail

marchand was an A. my expectations were high but wow
pastranak was an A. i wonder if he still has room to improve
Carlo was an A. he tailed off but i never even expected him on the team
Mcavoy was an A. limited showing of course

chara was a B. good healthy season
killer was a B. only disappoints when put in impossible positions

bergeron was a C... actually had a hell of a second half
rask was a C... team struggle in front of him
khubodin was a C... didnt look pretty but had results
krug was a C... impressive offense over last 2/3 of the year
mcquaid was a C... clearly gives us what he got
Moore was a C... has some good moments
backes was a C... wasnt his healthies season but he tries hard
schaller was a C... didnt expect nothing... got a decent 4th liner
acciari was a C... i will have to learn to spell his name
chiller was a C... raw tools but still shakey
blidh was a C... ready for spot duty
chelerk was a C... has good instincts
kurley was a C... gives me every reason to believe he can be a regular
Stafford was a C... thought he might provide some offense and he kind of did

Nash was a D... hoped for better offense from him especially when he was playing 3rd line
Liles was a D... my expectation are so low was easy to meet... somehow he still fell a bit short
czarik was a D... might have a future but his present was almost invisible
krejci was a D...in a season we needed more leadership it felt like he gave us none
morrow was a D... couldnt get coaches trust even though to my eye test he seamed passable
spooner was a D... just doesnt fit... and sometimes I don't feel he cares
Vatrano was a D... with that shot, i want him to succeed but he is one dimensional and needs to score more to get by

belesky was an F... i like him and hope he rebounds
Hayes was an F... i don't like him and hope hes moved

29 guys graded with only 6 having better than average seasons... explains why we were a middle of the pack team.

but average years get us to the playoffs... so shows our core is a decent core. there is room to see improvement

expected we would be a bubble team... that we would work hard... that some kids would get a chance...

overall got what i expected

team gets a c+

I wonder what on earth happened to Beleskey. It's not only the utter lack of production, it's that he didn't look engaged at any moment during the season. Gone was his energy, his physicality, his drive to be the player he was. I was waiting for him to wake up and it never happened. He looked like he was always on Valium. What the hell happened to him?

Hayes and Beleskey regressing to AHL level players is the biggest disappointment for the team this year ( player wise ). Last season, they gave us respectable bottom 6 scoring with 28 goals between the two of them ( 15 for MB / 13 for JH ). This season: 5 goals. Five measly goals and nearly six mill payed total for that production. Horrendous.

Dumb fat and happy.. Is that the saying?

If he is still in the NHL on his next contract year, I'll bet he bounces back nicely.

I just hope it isn't here.

I give the Bruins a C, they get a passing grade for making the playoffs, but until they blew game 2 in epic fashion I was hoping they would sweep and rest up on injuries for round 2. They never seemed to recover from that. Losing to Ottawa and Craig Anderson isnt really a positive sign IMO. Imagine if we played Washington round 1? Blame injuries I guess but Bruins had little depth bc they were saddled with signings like Beleskey and Hayes. This team has major issues if you're hoping for playoff contention next year. Another year older of the core, and we still have horrible contracts for sub 10 point players which will give us nothing to assist the core.

Ahahah!!!

Well, I hope that somehow we can persuade Vegas to take him. Unload him somehow. Hayes too (even tho he has only 1 year left, so it's not that horrible).

No way they take Jimmy  You're right, only 1 year left, he could be bought out, stowed in Providence, traded for a Dunkin gift card, just so long as he never takes the ice in a game again, I don't care what they do with him.
