Well actually, if Sullivan didn't eat shit for the last 5+ years, they would have been a playoff team and probably would have ended up re-signing Guentzel.
Though I agree 100% with you, the "what if" stuff really sucks.....
Cuz then I start thinking about all the years we wasted with Dan Bylsma at the helm .

It's like the Mike Tyson fight....
I think he threw the fight for the paycheck, but we'll never know for sure.

Best to not go down this path, cuz it's maddening!!

Also had Sid/Malkin/Letang/Fleury+ in their primes

He actually went very long stretches without members, sometimes multiple members, of the big 3 due to injury.

To be honest, the Penguins could use an injury to 87 or 71. Sometimes that re-calibrates things for a while. Or maybe things are totally dead and an injury would just help the tank.

Fire Sullivan, and all the staff f*** them all.... Hire a new GM let Dubas be POHO, and let the new GM try and clean up this nightmare, with his own staff and drafting strategies.

I mean, isn't this what should have been done at the start of the year.

It's often thought that the reason Dubas is GM is because of FSG, and also that no GM wants a job where they are stuck with a coach that can't be fired.

Yeah, that 2027 draft is gonna be amazing.

I can't imagine why people don't have any faith in the guy, he's planning moves in 2027, lulling other GMs into thinking he doesn't have a plan, when that's the genius. The plan is to look like you don't have a plan!
You can’t fix this current team. The core is too old. Why is that so hard to understand?

Dubas is trash
Not at all, depends on how he drafts and develops our bounty of picks and prospects. THAT will be the determining factor as to if he's good or not. This team was dead in the water before he arrived. You can't compete when you're best players are 37 and 38 yrs old and little in the pipeline before he arrived, no GM would succeed under those circumstances. Once again CONTEXT is important.
