Offseason probably. I'm not saying Nashville was stupid for throwing $8 million to a guy who scored 40. But that contract is a problem. He looked washed for like 60 of his games. He got to 30 goals in about the most excruciating fashion possible if you're Steven Stamkos and then went on a heater where he looked like normal and got to 40. The whole thing felt last minute and gave better numbers than what we saw in play

We would need double retention to bring him back. And it would have to he Nashville giving up the majority of the assets to make it happen.
