His last name was originally Lane but he had to legally change it.

I would have liked to see an American LB on this list...

I had a feeling they would bring Grainger back - he didn't get many reps at all.
My wife's massage therapist lives on Penny Lane and my dental hygienist used to live on Easy Street.

Nichols was having a huge season... thats a bummer

Wondering if the new DE Wright isn't more of a WIL/MLB in the CFL...

Sucks for Biggie. Would have liked to see how far they could have taken this D. Bighill's coverage prowess in pass coverage from the MLB spot is impossible to replace. Hopefully Kyrie will be able to get healthy and stay healthy. With Tony Jones and Kyrie Wilson at LB they still have enough there. But I'm less certain of results with David Ayers and/or Brian Cole playing regular roles in the LB corps.

Interesting note with that message is that Bighill doesn't mention retirement nor does he mention returning next season. I think he'll probably see where he's at in February to decide if he wants to come back for one more season. I do think the Bombers will try to get as many of the "band" back together in 2025 as they can (that can still play) for one more run at it in 2025 with the home Grey Cup before we head into at least a mini rebuild. It'll be interesting to see if O'Shea will stick around for a rebuild. But that's a long ways away yet to start discussing.

We can probably debate the nuances of Bighill's performance but I still think he's a rather big loss in comparison to the alternatives, or at the very least from a "field general" perspective. Even though his speed definitely took a step back this season and last, his ability to read plays often resulted in him stuffing QB sneaks or other runs from the RB, and he never quit on a play which often minimized the bleeding at times. With Bighill you could afford to use Kramdi on a lot of blitzes, but now with Gauthier/Charbonneau I think Bombers are playing with a lot dropbacks and zones - granted maybe that was just the gameplan vs Harris in the SSK games, but we'll see going forward now.

Gauthier, despite being listed as the starter, didn't play any snaps on D last game. It was Tony Jones and David Ayers at LB. With Kyrie back it'll be Jones and Wilson at LB.

Bombers are playing with fire if they think Collaros and Bighill are leading them to the Grey Cup next year. Both are made of glass at this point in their lives.

Collaros is either the biggest diver in the league or he has a serious injury. Anytime he touches the ground he looks like he is climbing mount Everest getting back up.

I appreciate Bighill but his legs are a disaster at this point.

Hate how the Bombers don't list changes on the official one they post.
Off the top of my head changes include LB Kyrie Wilson, WR Keric Wheatfall, LT Stanley Bryant, RB/FB Michael Chris-Ike all making returns to the roster. Looks like Bombers are going with the veteran Dolegala to replace Streveler on the roster.

Clercius starting in Wolitarsky's place as well.

Also, I have to agree with other who say they would keep Randolph in the lineup. If not at RG over Neufeld, could he not replace Mr. Turnstile Himself (Lofton), at RT?

Another question. Is there any difference between listing Dolegala as QB3 instead of Wilson? If Collaros goes down, who would we figure steps in?

This week 100% it'll be Terry Wilson stepping in if Collaros goes down. 2-4 weeks from now? No idea. But for now it'll be Wilson as the first man up.

Two months ago this game looked like an automatic win for the Bombers. Now it’s probably going to be their toughest test of the season, especially on the road.

Haven’t really been following the Elks hot streak, and not sure if it’s an anomaly or if they’re the real deal.

Hard to say. They have been Calgary twice, Hamilton and both BC and Sask who were on epic collapses at the time.

Much like us, really.

Injured in warm-ups. Kyrie just can't stay healthy.

If my count is not wrong, it looks like Bombers are only dressing 44 now. So they must not have brought any extra bodies on the road. Not ideal start to the evening.

I counted 22 on d and 23 on offense
