Why is Mc-D using those drop passes instead of shooting?

Team is trying to be way too cute with the puck. If they actually bore down they’re winning this going away.

Those dumb drop passes are the most infuriating of all.

McDavid had at least two ridiculous ones, the second one to absolutely no one when he had a clear shooting lane was such a dumb play to watch.

That was just a super telegraphed 5-hole shot, released slowly in the slot. Skinner just had to drop in a butterfly, easy save. Somehow he kinda drops, then kicks his right leg awkwardly as it goes by. What is this guy working on with Schwartz???

Not to mention, why the f*** is he so deep in his net? With the back pressure there's no reason he can't challenge the shot more aggressively. Leason can't make a deke because Bouchard is on him.

How is save% arbitrary? The whole team sucked the first month, thats why im picking that date. Its a month and a half, the past month and a half, where he has been really good according to save% which I think most would agree is one of the core goaltender stats, maybe the most important one.
What more can you expect from a 2m/season goaltender in a league where the average is .900?
