That's completely illogical. How can a stick coming down pop a helmet off?

It was Xhekaj's elbow that knocked the helmet off. Try watching it again.
His stick clearly popped his helmet off. And it was a shoulder hit. Elbow was up AFTER the hit. Clearly a late blindside hit like the Greig one

It’s not what he would have done but it was the rule as applied by the refs.

It can be hard yes.
So now you're backtracking. We should listen to him about his comments on the Grieg incident but not take his word for it about the Xhekaj incident. I guess we should all just listen to you a qualified expert who just went back on his word.

It was a very late hit on Kirby Dach who was without the puck.

Dach was Montreal’s best players on the ice tonight.

Arber Xhekaj decided to answer this by targeting Ottawa’s best player.

(Not defending him or saying it was justified, just stating the events.)
There you go. Late hit for both players. One had his stick in the way which resulted in getting a stick in the face while the other one did not. Very similar hit - Late and unnecessary but if you're going to target our best player and not answer the bell you have to expect the other team player hard on your star players.

People are funny. If Wifi was placed on waivers tomorrow 95% of the teams would put In A waiver claim.
Better players have already cleared waivers in the pre season. This guy costs his team more than he helps them.

Another goal! Habs are getting bullied physically and on the scoreboard here.

This plug looks fairly hypocritical following the Paré hit.
Always been. I called it when Laine got hurt. He has a history of trying to injure players in preseason. I understand he's not NHL caliber and trying to make a name for himself, but he needs to focus on being a better player, not a hired goon to injure players.

The hit on Dach was a good 2 seconds late. Blindside.Definite contact to the head. Dach didn’t went out for fun.

Whatever intention he had, the result is the result, he should have answered the music when Pezzetta asked him, who isn’t a fighter and not a big guy. It’s the code.
Don’t get what you’re trying to say. Both hits were late. One targets the head and the other is shoulder to shoulder. X is getting suspended. Or he should be. His hit was an obvious attempt to hit the head and cause serious injury. Imo the Habs will give him a good talking to. If he continues along his current cowardly path, they will dump him.
