I think if it's not Gable for the feel-good closure to his story, it's going to be somebody they see as a future main event guy. Not sure they view Kaiser that way, though I could be wrong.

Vinci's concussion almost seems like a happy accident for Kaiser, if they continue what they did last night.
I haven't watched the majority of last nights show yet. I shall check it out today.

I'm fine if it's Gable too.

Hard to tell who they view as a future main event guy right now. They aren't very good with making new stars and have sort of played gate keeper to the old guard.

I disagree big time on them not making new stars. I think they've spent the post Vince era trying to build up the current guys to carry the next 3 years while the "Future" guys get experience.

Look at the last year and a half:

Drew - Was getting bland. Last four months he's probably got the most character depth that I can recall in his entire main roster run. (Disclaimer, I largely skipped the Thunderdome era when he was on top)

LA Knight - Don't think I need to go over Max Dupri to LA Knight.

Gunther - Is pretty much already an established main event heel that's carrying around a secondary title until they can get their big Wrestlemania moment. Honestly, he's elevated the title from being more than secondary.

Santos - His heel turn took forever, but it's going well and has definitely elevated him.

Jey - Is upper mid card at worst and can slot in the main event when they need him to. If crowd interaction is an indicator, he's a star. Who would've expected that?

Sami - Cooled off big time, but is still beloved and in a way better position than conspiracy jobber doing BS matches with the Jackass guys.

Rhea - I think she would've ended up here even if Vince was in charge. She has a presence that can't be ignored. But, Vince also has a way of f***ing up undeniable stars. See: Turning Becky heel and making her wear Rollins-esque, outlandish, flamboyant shit. Speaking of which:

Becky - By not fighting the obvious tide and just going with what the crowd wants, which is Becky as the character she was. Not some phony, bullshit character.

Dom - Hard to say if he would've turned under old creative, but I dunno that they would've done this well with him. I can see Vince stumbling into the prison Dom thing and doing something insanely hokey to ruin it.

The Cena/Cody/Knight/Jey segment with Bloodline/JD was a pretty good indicator of the difference for me. Granted Cena is part time, but when do you remember that many babyfaces THAT over in the last 15 years?

Hell baby
i hadn’t watched raw in awhile up until last week and RTruth has been the best thing I’ve seen. Kaiser-Kingston was good fun. Punk-McIntyre was good.

i forgot how long 3 hours is when they use filler

It's a scenario where you wish they'd use some long term vision and take a short term paycut, but major companies never do.

That show will never go back to two hours because the TV rights would go for significantly less money. But everybody on the production side knows it's detrimental to the quality of show. It's been rumored since well before he even took over that Triple H hates the three hour RAW.

3 hours is tough as a viewer. Even on a really good show I find myself skipping a lot of it.
Is it so out of the question that Jinder wins the title Monday?
I hope so. I don't hate the guy, but it's not time for Jinder as the champ.

Yeah they don't go to two because USA wants it at 3 hours and USA pays them a lot of money.

I'd like to think it's just a USA thing, but I doubt it is. Pretty sure USA is out on RAWs rights, and they're still talking about $400M/year. I assume you don't see that kind of increase with a third of the content cut.

Reality is, the advent of streaming has just starved broadcasters for content. And a lot of them found that scripted TV shows were way too expensive to be cost effective. Sports, (Lump in wrestling here) reality TV, and game/talent shows are way cheaper and provide more bang for the buck.

I can believe it since so much of the other comedy is terrible, its hard to imagine they could write so well for him but then so poorly for almost everyone else

It wouldn't surprise me if that video promo he did about joining Judgement Day was all his ideas.

I'm sure the video folks had a blast putting that together too.

R-Truth is legit one of the better all around performers the company has ever had

Was a believable upper card face and an was a very good heel in the early days of TNA. Perfect place at the perfect time given his shtick as a heel was being a black dude refusing to defend his title against whiteys in a Nashville based promotion.

Then in WWE he was believable pretty much wherever they put him. Upper mid card when he first came over, in tag teams, the delusional heel turn to put him up against Cena.

I know people whine about his spot on the card but i can't help but feel like he enjoys it. Minimal bumps while getting to goof off and still get majorly over is like the dream in pro wrestling.

The history books will look upon his body of work and smile when its all said and done. Basically the wrestling version of a super utility man in baseball
