I always hate when companies do this. Throw some shade, it’s good for business.
I’d be curious whose call that was and if it was actually his.

“I’m not back to make friends, I’m back to make money.”

I'm not sure he legally can talk about what happened so maybe they figured just avoid the elephant in the room entirely.
I didn’t expect him to directly mention them but I did expect some kind of veiled reference

It will be hard to ignore when he has to cut promos face to face with someone.

But there is plenty of ammo solely around his WWE exit and the fact that guys like Seth and Roman can't stand him

TK was asked about Punk's return I think this morning and he said he legally can't talk about it so I wonder if NDAs were involved in getting out of his contract.

Does Tony really ever answer questions though? Every interview clip I've ever heard with him is just him repeatedly saying how great things are, and how much people are going to love XYZ, and dodging any questions

True, but he did say specifically he can't legally talk about it.

Punk is going to make veiled references eventually (and Seth and company will make them at him), but I think its better they keep him under control and not let him just dump on AEW

Yeah in the end it'll be better for everyone to move on and make the best of their current situations

At least he’s honest. He is there for a big ol check.

For whatever it’s worth, WWE will figure out how to make money off it while it works. Other wrestlers will be smart to do the same while it’s good. Honestly, lot of guys in AEW, no matter how dumb it was, left some stacks on the table. WWE won’t.

Seth at least is a professional. He had real life heat with Riddle but put it aside to do business. Same with Cody.

Seth is going to let some of his true feelings out in his promos but he won't take liberties. Roman same.

If any mid card talent tried a Jack Perry shoot they would be fired on the spot and I assume they know that.

Punk's side. He has to know this is his very last chance to be a major act in a major wrestling company. He burns his bridges here, he has no where else to go. AEW will never take him back.

He has a chance to make a lot of money in front of some very large crowds in multiple countries over the next year. He can't be that stupid to throw that away over something stupid again.

The timing was just so bad. To advertise the first hour commercial free and then give him 5 minutes at the end was bs. Mid energy at that point of the night and he reciprocated. Nothing set up for next week, either.

Not that I matter in any way, but my attempt to get back into the product is done after that.
