The Sabres rebuild has been going too fast. I like this move. Slows things down a bit.To WSH
Peyton Krebs
To BUF
Connor McMichael
Why? Similar stats, same age, maybe to switch it up?
Well neither is tearning up the league just yet. Could happen but anybody's guess as to which one will do that. The Sabres rebuild has been going too fast. I like this move. Slows things down a bit.
Why? Was it when the Carolina GM unloaded their goalie? A GM might think the other one is a better fit for team, more potential, etc.No. This is one of the odder proposals I've seen in a while.
The Sabres just traded for Krebs a few months ago. He was a key component of the Eichel trade who was specifically targeted by Kevyn Adams. Since arriving, he has met or exceeded expectations on the ice and off. He has filmed videos saying that he hopes to set roots down in Buffalo and be here for the long haul. The GM has made a point of saying that Buffalo wants players who want to be here. He is not a player that needs a change of scenery. He's not a reclamation project. That is why I say the proposal is weird. Buffalo has no interest in trading Krebs (barring some obscene over-payment). What's the point? Why? Was it when the Carolina GM unloaded their goalie? A GM might think the other one is a better fit for team, more potential, etc.
Maybe the GM thinks that Cozens is better fit with McMichael idkKrebs seems to be doing great since he got to Buffalo. And they're just going move him for the fun of it? lol
