Krebs is the more talented prospect and I don’t think it’s all that close. Thus far he’s has better production in the A and the NHL. Buffalo has no interest.

Seems like both are doing fine for their respective teams as first year players. I know Buffalo was very invested in getting Krebs as part of the Eichel trade and they seem to love him, so I don't see them willingly making a move to send him anywhere at the moment.

McMike has terrific underlying metrics and very unlucky (and unsustainable) finishing stats. Both players will be really good. CMM is already a really good hockey player and will be an established top six guy or a fantastic 3C behind Kuznetsov and Backstrom in a year or two. I’m sure Buffalo is very pleased with Krebs’ development as well.

Neither of these guys need a change of scenery and neither of them are struggling so I’m not sure I understand the premise of the trade.
