2C performance for $3M/year, love it. He was a bargain coming in and played lights-out, in addition to being one of the most versatile players in the league. It would've sucked to lose him but we can keep the band together if everyone signs at these reasonable cap hits.

I donno about 2C, but he is a very versatile player and has found much better offensive game in Winnipeg. If he keeps playing the same for the next two as he did the first two this is a great deal.

He's not the player you would expect to be a 2C and anyone who paid him as a 2C in UFA probably would've regretted it, but he's been 2C since he got here and puts up points like it. It's just a good match. Even a good 4C will cost this much once the cap increases take effect.

He is 74th in Center point totals, plays 14:55 a game and is around guys like Jordan Staal, Barrett Hayton, Ryan Strome, etc. He is a 3C.

Solid depth center who can play in the top 6 decently if needed for cheap. Hes been great at his role here in Winnipeg.

Good for him. Solid soldier his whole career that hung around nhl as a depth guy versus going to khl at some point.. and has now stuck around long enough to get rewarded with a nice chunk of change in a rising cap.

Good for the Jets but I was really hoping he would go to UFA and sign in Montreal.

Have have Evans and Dvorak as centres who are upcoming UFAs. Plus the Habs have no Russians on the team and Demidov is coming over next year. It would be nice for him to have a Russian player to help him.

Plus Namestnikov plays a high energy game and I was hoping Demidov would learn from that type of style. I was willing to go 4.5-5 million on a two year deal.
