2C performance for $3M/year, love it. He was a bargain coming in and played lights-out, in addition to being one of the most versatile players in the league. It would've sucked to lose him but we can keep the band together if everyone signs at these reasonable cap hits.
He's not the player you would expect to be a 2C and anyone who paid him as a 2C in UFA probably would've regretted it, but he's been 2C since he got here and puts up points like it. It's just a good match. Even a good 4C will cost this much once the cap increases take effect.I donno about 2C, but he is a very versatile player and has found much better offensive game in Winnipeg. If he keeps playing the same for the next two as he did the first two this is a great deal.

We gotta target ROR so names can play 3c.
If we can get ROR, I’d be very happy…and Names would be bumped to either 4C or middle 6 wingWe gotta target ROR so names can play 3c.
He is 74th in Center point totals, plays 14:55 a game and is around guys like Jordan Staal, Barrett Hayton, Ryan Strome, etc. He is a 3C.
