Every time I see this thread title, I keep thinking "why did we just give away Coughlan for free?"

Keep forgetting that we got him for free way back when

Does anyone ever call in those future considerations? Or do they just *poof* disappear?

I believe it's 9 games or 30 days, he was called up 13 days ago, and has only played 3 games so far.

He's likely up until Haydn Fleury comes back or Colin Miller.

Don't want to insult your ingelligence but future considerations are usually tied to hard gates with defined rewards. So if Coghlan played say 40 games the Jets would give a 4th rd pick.


It would be a damn shame for the guy - done everything he could to stay up and in the lineup. Unfortunately he's the waiver eligible guy.

We might give carolina a 7th round pick... likely we were just helping them clear a roster spot and we never send anything.

Future considerations are definitely not influencing coghlans ice time...
