This is what I thought as well and went, Lindros as prospects but then the OP is asking something else where it's hard to argue against Ovi although some sort of case could be made for Lindros but it's literally just a guess.assuming we’re drafting both at 18 and therefore have no idea how their careers will go if probably go lindros
The issue is you point out that’s he’s top 10 all time in hits, but that stat has only been tracked since 2007. You cant throw that out as a argument for Ovechkin and against Lindros when they didn’t even track that stat when Lindros played.
That’s like me saying but so and so player drafted in 2036 is top 10 in rumplemintz shots per 60 minutes compared to someone drafted this season so they’re automatically a better player, but they won’t start tracking the stat until after the player drafted in 2023 is retired.
