Briere ain't doing much offensively and is a liability defensively. Plekanec and DD were even double shifted to take some of his shifts tonight. He can be an asset on the PP though but that's about it.

I think White could be better fit with Weise and Moen. He is more responsible defensively plus he's decent on the faceoffs. He would also be better at cycling the puck along the boards in the Bruins zone .This come at the cost of some offensive upside

Dunno but i like the sound of Weise - White - Moen

Simply put, yes. Briere, for a playoff performer, hasn't done much in these playoffs (aside from having a good first game). I think White's defensive and hitting capabilities would serve a better purpose.

I didn't even notice Briere tonight. :S
Completely invisible when it gets rough.

I did not vote because I think we have the right amount of sandpaper in our line-up now, we should not water down our offense too much. And let's face it, sometimes White takes brain dead penalties, and he is not THAT good defensively.

No.

White doesn't make that pass to Weise on the GWG.
That's it.

We don't have passengers right now and Therrien will never mess with a good thing. Briere is one of our weakest links but until he puts in a Bouillon-like performance (ie until Briere literally costs us a win) he's going to play.

Briere, hate the guy and the contract, but he gets a lot of respect from opposing coaches and their matchups. Bodes well for us, gives us depth.

Dude, did you see how quickly he spun around to get that puck and throw it to Weise on the breakaway goal? Also in the right direction...skills baby Briere just produces int he playoffs.

We have two 4th liners (Brière and Weise) with 4 points each in 7 games. I don't see how people can complain about that?! :help:

They have more than DD and Patch.

I'm not a briere fan, people know this. I'm also a white fan. But you don't replace briere with white. You just don't. He's a much better hockey player.

I didn't mind Briere tonight, and when we have control over matchups, I'd like to see him play. When we go back to Boston, swap him for White then.

This. Briere has produced more than DD with half the icetime he's not a problem.

Exactly. Briere only played 6 minutes tonight and still managed to make an impact on the play that lead to the GWG.

No way Briere should be coming out. He is playing with limited minutes already and with 2 checkers. He's fed Weise twice already for game winning goals in these playoffs. Briere can be clutch for us on any given night.

Now when Chucky is back, we might have to see who sits.

No. Can't really blame Brière for a lack of production when he hardly plays 10 minutes per night... Or can we..?

He gives us versatility and some offensive punch when needed, two things White doesn't necessarily bring. Most of all, I don't want White running around lighting up fires that we can't extinguish later on. We got the Bruins playing our way, let's keep it that way.

dude's put up points on the 4th line for crying out loud. this board is insane. and what about those screens on PK's goals in the first game.

Bourque was just fine too. He had some solid chances and was playing some good rough hockey. Just because he didn't have 15 scoring chances like in almost every game against TB doesn't mean he had a bad game.

some of you people on here must be on HST levels of drugs. lol.

I would never bench Briere in the playoffs. It's pretty much the reason why he was signed in the first place.

Even if you don't think he's not doing anything, the fact is he's still a huge threat to the Bruins. He still gets a lot of attention from other teams and he's still that type of player you can't ignore when he's out there.
