When I was Pro Shane Wright. I wrote multiple post about how I liked his game.
And how he was better than Slaf.
But, Honestly, I still don’t think he is a bust, cause he had good season in the AHL for someone of his age. We will have to wait and see, but Slaf is clearly ahead by a mile.
When Montreal picked Slaf, I didnt really know who he was. This is the kind of pick that you could easilly fall in love in interview. The way Slaf talked. He looked like a man vs Wright. Thats why Im not a scout, I didnt believe Slaf could be better than Wright. Something I learn, playoff is important. Thats why Becckett Sennecke been select early. Wright didnt been really good in playoff.

And something else I learn. In my mind, I thought every prospect from Montreal were going to be stud at one point of their career. This is good to be optimistic, but yeah…. Now, I moderate my expectations, because every prospect I overhyped didnt came close to the NHL.

Thought Tinordi was going to be a top defenseman and even captain someday after playing well in a playoff game and dropping the gloves

I still feel the judgement.

Years ago I thought Galchenyuk-McCarron-Sherback was our future top line and made a big post explaining why.
Here is the actual post from Feb 9/15:

Galchenyuk-McCarron-Sherback. I said it first. I know you guys are rolling your eyes but in 3-4 years this will be one of the best first line of the league, and you will be digging this post and be in awe of my prediction. Gally-Sherback will provide the scoring, and McCarron will bring the headaches.

Understandable… Bison, Biron :sarcasm:

For mine, I rarely post hot takes, even though I love reading the ones on this board. I usually comment the GDTs or post bad puns. Sometimes I’m high on Collberg, sometimes I’m high on Scherbak, sometimes I’m just high

My biggest fail here was reposting a Canadiens twitter post celebrating the national helmet day and stating “always wear your helmet” or something like that, but replacing the original picture by one of Juulsen’s injury

Around 2013 or 2014 I wrote a long and incoherent drunken message about Alex Galchenyuk becoming one of the biggest superstars. Too bad it's not just the password that I forgot. Can't even remember that username anymore.

Well he was traded for John Marino so not the most terrible take ever.
Being a victim of New Jersey's depth at D prospects messed with his development a bit, I think. He also shouldn't have started in the NHL right after Junior.

His defensive play is nowhere near the level it was when he was in Spokane, though. But he's still pretty crafty and productive and could probably carve out a journeyman career as a T.J. Brennan/Erik Gustafsson type PP specialist.

Pretty sure I was the first to write That Halak, Ryder and a 2nd would be a good trade for Crosby.
