Considering their most recent offseasons and their individual and teams’ performance to date relative to expectations/demand, which GM has been the worst so far?

ill go with trotz. trading away young cheap players for mid round picks while neither rebuilding or competing. i don't get the moves.

the rangers have been awful but some of that blame needs to go to the players they are vastly under performing given the talent on the roster. moving trouba and giving up nothing was a nice win for drury.

alvin hasn't addressed the injuries or drama in vancouver and it's showing. he hasn't been terrible but it's an interesting situation to watch.

Drury because everyone else at least tried to make moves to improve the team. Well not sure what Lou did to be honest. Drury’s attempt to move Trouba this past summer completely backfired because of the way he handled it.

I didn’t like Trotz’s moved because acquiring aging free agents sometimes does t work. Sometimes it does though so I can’t blame him for trying to retool a team that desperately needed either a retool or complete rebuild.

It’ll depend on what happens with Vancouver, bc Drury not there yet but could easily wrap this up if he f***s that.

Gotta go with Drury. Hes made a couple baffling trades recently. His team was on the shortlist to be cup favourites but are somehow near the bottom of the standings.

The Rangers took the Panthers to 6 games and 5 of them were 1 score, including 3 OTs. The Rangers might draft top 10. The other options didn't have the same expectations.

Adams? The Sabres are bad every single year. Trotz would be second for me.

Trotz. A guy who has no clue what he's doing as GM and is absolutely out of touch with reality.

Drury is at least addressing the correct issues, moving on from Goodrow, Trouba, etc., albeit in a clumsy and trashy way. The Kakko return is bad, the morale is bad, but change always needed to come to that team. The President's Trophy meant nothing except that the East is weak and Igor is one of the best of his generation.

I think both Adams and Yzerman are one season away from shutting everyone up. Trotz is hopeless, though.

Matter of personal preference...

Trotz at least tried to improve his team. It backfired spectacularly and gives us something fun to talk about.

Adam's and to a lesser extend RF just sit on their hands hoping someone else does something really dumb they can benefit from.

Adams is the McDavid of horrible GM's (a generationally terrible GM) but even though he's having his typical catastrophic season Drury probably gets the nod for destroying a cup favorite.

Adams is literally incapable of comprehending the idea of roster construction and is the least qualified person (along with Garf) to ever be given a GM job (by the single worst owner in hockey history).
