He is most certainly Canadian and the medicine hat tigers website confirms this. I have no idea where you saw he's from New York but that's incorrect.

The guy has been in the WHL for 3 years. He could probably play meaningful mins for the Leafs. I think he is ready. Most NHL ready outside Stamkos and Doughty. Also just because he is on the Leafs doesn't mean he won't be in the WJC's. Especially if the Leafs are at the bottom and going nowhere, the WJC's would only be beneficial.

That might be a stretch, hes a good leader, but it will be his first year with the Junior team. But then I guess it all depends on who comes back aswell.

Luke Schenn was team captain of the U-18 team not his years tournament but the previous one in 2007 .. This year was Cody Hodgson.

Karl Alzner was captain of the 2007-08 WJC team .

I could see making a list, I don't know about a lineup. Given that its a Quebec coach (atleast what I've heard ) best bet is you're going to see a few guys missing out of the dub and more Quebec players. Every year coaches are always most baised with guys they are familiar with

Hodgon is unlikely to be captain unless its a pretty young team, but with his experience captaining the U-18 team to a gold while leading in scoring he should be able to grab himself an A i would think... he turns 18 in July I think so he's still probably one of the younger guys on the team.

I believe Kevin Marshall was the last cut on defense last year, so he might have a pretty good shot at making the team, especially if Schenn and Doughty are in the NHL.
