So two lineups on twitter for the Sweden/USA game with different starting goalies.

Revised one says Alnefelt is starting. Hoping this is as good a game as Sweden-Russia last night.

Lol this board sometimes when the "bluebloods" are out in full force.

If we're going to be over the top with the praise of one of our prospects when they play well... Which we have been with Niemela throughout the tournament (and appropriately so at times), there is nothing wrong with pointing out when they struggle or make a mistake... Thought Niemela stepped up to take the body there and Cozens just made him miss and slipped right off of him. Not the end of the world. Canada has elite players and dominated all night. That was the Tournament's leading scorer there, not some scrub. Niemela has played great most nights. He was brought back down to earth tonight...

But hey, no point conversing if there is no room for even the smallest critique.
1. Name calling doesn't help your point, and admits to having no argument.
2. That was not worth of critique, so your 2nd point is also not factual.

His D-partner got it wayyyy worse, but that started with Cozen's ability to get off of Niemela with little resistance. He stepped up much better earlier in the shift and stoned the Canadian forward... Nothing wrong with making a small critique.
Once again it's not valid criticism.

Alnefelt really should be starting this one I feel like.

I was surprised he didn't start (or backup) against Russia. I definitely think they're a better team than the USA.

I was just surprised when I went on twitter and saw everyone posting the lineups with Clang in net... and then 5 minutes later posting Alnefelt lol.

Looks like Clang is starting in net for Sweden...Alnefelt has to have an injury.

Canada won, Finland lost.
Leafs prospects played okay.
While some are using one play to define a Leafs Prospect.
Happy New Year, everyone!

Lol name calling?... Really?

Niemela tried to take the body. He missed. Cozens is a moose, and stronger than Niemela. It happens. Not a thing wrong with pointing out when a kid could have made a stronger play, if we're going to drool everytime he touches the puck otherwise.

Empty net, down 2, he’s got to win or tie the battle, but he was completely overmatched and the puck ended up in the net.

Not everyone on this board is from/lives in Canada. They are all Leaf fans though. I was both born and live in Canada, and I honestly couldnt give a f*** if Canada wins or loses. Id prefer them to win, but the Leafs prospects > team Canada.
With all due respect.......I won’t say it.....

all good points, but let's not forget that just playing and being on the same team in this tourney and even in practise is huge for their development.

I'd personally like to see a Canadian pick again to root for.. that's just the biased in me.
I would rather the Leafs win the Cup or go deep into the playoffs than drafting top 10-15picks, which are where most of these Canadians were drafted.
The top players on any Canadian Jrs team are/were often top 10 picks or first rounders, I might be wrong but I think Point was the only go to guy on Team Canada who wasn’t drafted in the first round in the past few years.
