It’s a a 50/50 play that amirov lost. Seems like he’s been fighting the puck all game in my opinion. He’s had a lot of plays like this throughout the game, this one unfortunately resulted in a goal against. In fairness to amirov, every player who plays this style (high skill, good hands in tight) have these type of games. Auston Matthews has these type of games every so often, where the puck just doesn’t want to settle. Not a good game for rodian, but he’s still a great talent

A great tournament for Germany though. Battled through a lot of adversity and certainly gave Russia a tough time.

It reminds me a bit of Draisaitl. You're gonna score a bunch of points playing 2 minutes every PP and 25 minutes a game. Doesnt mean you're ridiculously good

If he played 2 minutes of every power play he wouldnt get many points, unless they get a lot of 4 and 5 minute PP.

If Germany had shown a bit more intensity in the first period they could have got to Russia. Flat game and they were ripe for picking.

I wouldn't complain if Dubas drafted Florian Elias in the next draft. I know he'll be a D+1 by this upcoming draft but I really like his game. Small guy but tenacious and has great puck skills.

They are. That PP and the subsequent pinning in Finland's end screwed up the pairings for a bit.
