Two powerplay tallies by sweden this far.... What's up with Finland's Penalty killing???

There is only so much you can do on a double disadvantage. Besides how can you defend against Sundin, Alfredsson, Naslund, Forsberg, Lidstrom, Modin...

puuh, how about this for a thriller.. and there are still 2 periods left!

Modin is having the week(s?) of his life

Now if only Foppa and Näslund wake up :)

Bad swedish period defensivly. Thankfully we have our PP to thank for the tied score at the moment, but if they don't get it together then the finns will walk home with this one. One thing is certain though, substituting Ragnarsson with Tärnström has to be one of the most boneheaded moves Hardy has ever made. Tärnström is WEAK.

Is Finland trying to give the game away? Especially considering that the Czechs are playing better than they did in their first game, they could beat them the second time around.

Great period, great hockey! This is what I was dreaming about! Swedes pp is absolutely deadly! Summanen put Laaksonen to play pk not Saku!

Well... None of them should be any match for Lehtinen & co even if they came all at once ;)

Well... No matter how this game goes, only one of these two teams can be sure who they'll have between the pipes, and that's Finland.

Watching the game on broadband is weird, watching the camera get setup for the intermisson interview. At least there aren't any commercials. Music playing in the background from the arena too...just too bad it wasn't brighter.

It's a pity that moron King Gustav IV lost Finland to Russia 195 years ago. If Sweden had a goaltender in Kiprusoff's class we could be unstoppable.
That would probably have meant that Kipper's parents never had migrated to Finland though, considering his father's eternal hate for everything swedish (cursed for days when Miikka went to AIK), he would probably be in goal for Russia (if he had ever started playing hockey since his family didn't come from moscow is another question too).
