The date of the next World Cup will be a long time coming. 2028 or longer time feels bitter. 2028 is the same as 2004 until 2016. Something more efficient will take place in 2025 or 2026, such as advise International Ice Hockey Federation highest bosses. Lot hockey fans opinion. World Cup time this year or next year. The date 2028 feels far away. Canada has won 2 out of 3 last World Cups. The USA has won 1 of the last 3 World Cups. North American dominance 1996-2016. I'm worried if Canada wins the next World Cup. European nation luck? But it takes time to phase the next World Cup.

René Fasel: I don't understand why the IIHF allowed the 2028 World Cup of Hockey to be organised without the IIHF. As IIHF Pres I have always worked together with NHL & NHLPA. I protected Euro hockey not to allow the NHL to have a big presence in Europe. Gary Bettman is very smart, he feels that Euro hockey is fragmented.
