On any halfway close call, and some not very close ones, players stick their hands in the air (oftentimes to the detriment of the play, lol) so seeing no Canadian raise their hand meant I was sure it was onside.

I didn't think Canada's goal was offside btw, though one player was clearly offside but he didn't take part in the play so it wasn't called. It's been that way for years and years, but I'm old enough to remember the days when offside was offside and it didn't matter if you participated in the play or not. I think it was better that way.
