Canada actually looks better than the US
Yeah the roundness of the ball seems to be giving them serious troubleSome of our games in qualification could have been historic blowouts if our guys could decently finish but that's a commonplace inevitability in soccer. Not every nation has that elite #9.

having one of the worst coaches ever does not help either, the guy ruined this generation that should have dominated world for many years. Oh well, go Canada, check that back line and keep the pressureBelgium suffers the same problem they always do. They have a lot of good players, but they don't really have much of a team identity.

I dunno, I like some of those ideas but it sounds like it would become a marginal sportYeah, we should flatten out the ball a bit for more control.
Although then it would be tough to kick - maybe we could give players some sort of instrument to control the ball? Like a lacrosse stick, but held on the ground?
Also, we can't play outside during half the year, let's make it on ice.
Disgusting that they are down 1-0.
thats very true. I am not as much up to speed on Canada Team, but watched alot of US and their weakest link is their clueless coach, what I am seeing today is a total tactical domination by Canada, Belgium has some world class players, best midfielder in the world, so they need to be careful in the back, but if they keep up with the press they will score in the secondThe US has a better roster on paper.
Swap managers, and the USA would be a QF or SF team IMO.
A penalty is usually assigned a value of 1 or close to it. So still 1.34-0.66 just based on chances.meh - xG is really warped by penalties and missing penalties.
I think it’s also kind of hard to really compare. They are pretty different players. I’d say Davies is almost like a box to box winger/wing back whereas David is more of an all around 9 sort of player. Not sure why people are going at Evilo for the David > Davies take
Sure evilo has a ton of french football bias but I don’t think it makes him wrong for that take
I think you could have made an argument between three players as to who the best one was during qualifying.
Davies is the most talented, sure, but Eustaquio and David have a lot of consistency in decision making
The strength of Davies - in addition to the talent - is the volume. After a ton of take on attempts, he’ll get a decisive one into space and play the right ball. But there are a lot of mistakes in-between the successful ones

They said on the broadcast David has converted 9 of his last 12. Not sure how that compares with our other players.Beating a dead horse but Canada has at least 3 better options to take that PK. David, Eustaquio, and even Vitoria who is a penalty specialist.
0.8 for a penalty if I'm not mistaken.A penalty is usually assigned a value of 1 or close to it. So still 1.34-0.66 just based on chances.

We should also create a forum to discuss it all!
Damn, Carrasco is off. He was beatable down that right side.
