Alright guys, I need some help. I'm still having trouble understanding the World Cup format. So am I right in saying that team North America can be made up of anybody from North America? If that's the case why didn't Crosby make the team? Is Crosby not as good as we thought he was? Why was he only good enough for team Canada? SO confused. And what about team Europe? Ovechkin should be on that team shouldn't he? But he only made team Russia. What's going on?

North America is 23 years old and under
 
Team Europe is only from countries that didn't make the world cup. Both questions answered
